Benefits of Aadhaar Card (Indian Government Connected Scheme)

Benifits of Aadhaar Card (Central Government Connected Scheme)

Aadhaar Card is basically a scheme sponsored by the Government of India. It is aimed at providing unique and mobile identity to all residents of India. While the process of enrollment is simple, the authentication has been kept simple as well by the Unique Identification of India (UIDAI). However there are also several other benefits of Aadhaar Card and Central Government connected Scheme.

  • The Scheme is universally applicable across the entire country.

  • Only one Aadhaar number is allotted to one resident and thus helps identify a person universally

  • It will be applicable to all service providers and spares them the hassles of going through the process of Know Your Customer or KYC processes repeatedly.

  • It will allow the deprived and poorer sectors of the country get the services like banking, gas connection, and such other facilities.

  • Basically Aadhaar card is based on demographic as well as biometric information of the person concerned, it will also eliminate the threats of fraud. Chances of impersonation would be remote as the finger prints and other physical proof would be there to establish one’s true identity. Thus there will be virtual elimination of bogus identities. Aadhaar will facilitate authentication anytime from anywhere for any beneficiary and would ultimately become the single source for identification of Indian residents.

One of the greatest benefits of Aadhaar is that it can be used at multiple places to reconfirm the identify of a person with ease and convenience. One can open bank accounts, make railway or air travel ticket booking online, can apply for passport and visa, and can use the card anywhere as proof of his identity. While the photo identity card was meant for the voters only, Aadhaar card is meant for all people in the country whether a voter or not.

Last but not the least is the fact that Aadhaar will help people establish their identity remotely and online. Thus it offers great mobility for the users, especially those residing in rural pockets. It will also help service providing by Government as well as all other service providers easier and effective for the people.
